The visa was meant to facilitate her journey to Canada where she was to perform at the Afronation Caribana event alongside East African stars, Juliana Kanyomozi (Uganda), Kenyan based Rwandan musician Dr Claude, Kidum (Burundi) and Diamond from Tanzania, among others.
According to our snoops, Knowless had all the required documents and event organisers also tried to talk to the embassy officials but nothing worked out. Currently, she is planning to perform at various shows around the country and also continue the work on her new album.
Miss Jojo to make a comeback:
Miss Jojo, one of Rwanda's successful female musicians, is planning a musical comeback according to our sources. Miss Jojo who became famous for hits such as Tukabyine, Beletilinda and many others featuring local artistes, had quit music after she converted to Islam but our snoops have since confirmed that she might be working on something.
She will join four artistes, Tom Close, Riderman, King James and Urban Boyz on a country wide tour organised by Rwanda Agriculture Board to sensitise people on the importance of consuming a specific type of bean that is rich in iron. According to our snoops, Miss Jojo plans to use this platform to re-launch her career as she plans to hold a concert in December.
The multi award winning musician is famous for mentoring most of the established female artistes, including Knowless.
Oda Paccy and Touch Records at loggerheads:
Rapper Oda Paccy might soon be dragged to court after she started distributing her recent song, Banseka, to various studios and online media before paying for it. According to our sources, the song that was recorded by Producer Junior Multisystem is now playing on various radio stations and both parties have since failed to settle their differences amicably. However, our sources tell us that Producer Junior is also on the spot since Paccy couldn't have gotten the song herself.
Although Paccy says that she paid some money, our sources indicate that Touch records studio didn't receive any coin and the manager is threatening to expel the producer. Our sources also continue to tell us that Paccy might be banned from recording at Touch Records indefinitely.
Riderman to join CB Records:
Things seem rough at the Nyamirambo based Ibisumizi since their boss, Riderman, is set to join CB Records, also based in Nyamirambo. After investing almost half of his PGGSS 3 prize money, our snoops tell us that Riderman is set to close down Ibisumizi studio because it isn't making enough money. In addition, the studio members are also not making hit songs that can generate enough income.
Trouble started last year when renowned Producer T-Brown quit the studio after the boss told him to fire musician The Kim and he refused. Their differences caused a rift between them and the producer quit. Riderman tried to get an accomplished producer but most of them refused because, apart from him, the studio doesn't have established musicians.
Ibisumizi studio is made up of Queen Cha, M-Izzo and Amag the Black after losing rappers Nasson, Fireman and Neg G the General. According to scouts, CB Records is doing well and has so far worked with Riderman, Mani Martin, Jody Phibi, Tuyisenge and TBB among others.
It also boasts of experienced music producers such as Livingstone, Ben Rugo and Riderman's long time producer Jackson Dado.
Aurore eyes Miss Universe:
Former Miss Rwanda 2012 - 2014 Aurore Mutesi Kayiranga has set her sight on representing Rwanda at Miss Universe 2014. According to our snoops, Aurore is currently being considered based on her experience and her popularity both at home and abroad through various beauty pageants that she attended.
According to our snoops, Aurore will first compete for the Miss/Mister Facebook Universe crown on their website after which, regardless of whether she wins or not, she can proceed for the Miss Universe competition which is due this year or early next year. However, it is still not known where it will take place but strong suggestions indicate that it might be held in either Brazil or Miami.
