Paul Bota, upcoming dancehall artiste popularly known  as “Lilshah” aka the captain comes from a very humble Christian background beginnings and hails from the "kisii,kenya .


He is the first born of four kids. Lilshah knew that music was is way up at the age of four,his parents had bought him a Walkman(radio cassette).He used to listen to Awilo longomba song ( Congolese musician who was a drummer in Viva la Musica) ; Gate le coin among others.


He uses to record Awilo longomba music using the radio recorder. He attended mt.Sinai academy and later switched to St.don't bosco boys primary school,where he used to write music and sing to

his friends. Got full interest in music after "c'zars- Amkaukatike"song.Used to listen to more of reggae music from the barber shop place listening to bob marley,shaggy,sean paul,colie budz music among others that encouraged him to write more music.Later the patwa language developed deeply. After primary school he joined Riokindo Boys High school where he wrote big music.


In form three Heo released a song featured by wittyman who introduced him to NHMG(New home Musik Group).He was among the music choir member later in 2013 National music festivals that was held in Nakuru,Kenya lilshah offered a fantastic performance of sunlight promotions with his friend.


In 2014 he released a single "wine fi mi"that was well received by high schoolers,Lilshah recently released an Extended play namely "We De Party EP that  ontained of seven songs that is wine fi mi,we de party,you are the one,Number one,walking gun,squat it,da ting de and a bonus truck thank God. Fully aware of and confident in his talent and with the drive and natural ability he possesses, the Singjay says he will continue to make the best of his opportunitiesand sees himself in the very near future as one of the most successful Recording artistes from kenya.
